Jin's Solo Album 'Happy' Achieves Platinum Certification in Japan

According to the Japan Record Association on the 10th, BTS Jin's first solo album 'Happy' has exceeded 250,000 cumulative shipments as of November, and has been certified as a gold disc 'Platinum'. This was Jean's first solo career 'Platinum' certification, and his solo single 'The Astronaut' was certified in the same category 'Gold'.
The Japan Records Association awards gold disc certifications such as gold (more than 100,000 copies), platinum (more than 250,000 copies), and double platinum (more than 500,000 copies) according to cumulative album shipments every month.
Jin set a good record in the Japanese music market with the release of 'Happy' on the 15th of last month. 'Happy' rose to the top of the chart with a tally in just three days on Japan's Oricon 'Weekly Digital Album Ranking' (counting period Nov. 11-17). On the day of its release, it sold nearly 220,000 copies and went straight to the top of 'Daily Album Ranking' (November 16). 'Happy' became the most sold K-pop solo album on the first day of this year's Oricon aggregated albums.
In addition, according to the Billboard Japan's recent chart of the year-end settlement of accounts for the year of 2024 ' (counting period: November 27, 2023 to November 24, 2024), it has achieved the feat of ranking 19th in 'Hot Album' with 10 days of performance. It once again proved Jin's popularity by being at the top of the charts in the `Top Album Sales" (20th place) and `Download Albums" (33rd place).
