BTS Dominates 2024 Year-End Charts with Global Impact

On the 6th (local time), the title song of BTS Jin's first solo album 'Running Wild' was ranked 20th in the 'Weekly Top Song Global' (counting period: November 29th to December 5th) released by Spotify, the world's largest music streaming platform, and charted for three consecutive weeks. The pre-release song 'I'll Be There' has been on the chart for six weeks at number 150. 'Happy - :D (Remixes)' ranked 24th on 'Weekly Top Album Global'.
V's digital single 'Winter Ahead (with PARK HYOSHIN)' which was released on the 29th of last month entered the 29th place of 'Weekly Top Song Global'. V's solo album 'Love Me Again', released in September last year, has been on the chart for 69 weeks at number 112. Jimin's second solo album 'MUSE' title song 'Who' was ranked 9th and charted for 20 consecutive weeks. Jungkook's first solo single 'Seven (feat. Latto)' has been on the chart for 73 weeks at No. 89, boasting a built-in popularity. Jimin's 'MUSE' and Jungkook's solo albums 'GOLDEN' ranked 15th and 49th on 'Weekly Top Album Global', respectively.
BTS's presence can also be seen on various year-end charts. Released on November 15, 'Happy' was ranked in the top of Billboard Japan 2024 year-end settlement chart (counting period: November 27, 2023 to November 24, 2024) 'Hot Album' (19th place). The album ranked 20th and 33rd on 'Top Album Sales' and 'Download Album', respectively.
In addition, all solo albums of BTS members released this year set a milestone in Billboard Japan's year-end settlement chart 'Download Album'. Jin 'Happy', Jimin 'MUSE', RM's second solo album 'Right Place, Wrong Person', and J-Hope's special album 'HOPE ON THE STREET VOL.1' entered the charts. Although Jungkook's 'GOLDEN' was released last year, it was ranked in this year's rankings and proved its long run popularity. 'MUSE' was ranked 41st on 'Hot Album'.
Jungkook's 'Seven (feat. Latto)' also appeared on the annual charts this year, showing off the global hit song's potential. Although the song was released in July last year, it ranked 39th on Billboard Japan's 'Hot 100' settlement chart. In the year-end settlement chart '2024 Top 100: Global' (counting period: November 1, 2023 to October 31, 2024), released by Apple Music on the 4th, it ranked 41st.
RM's 'Right Place, Wrong Person' was selected as one of the 50 best albums of 2024 released by the British music magazine NME on the 6th. It is the highest ranking (16th) among K-pop singers on the chart. Regarding RM's second solo album, NME said, "'It's one of the best albums released this year with a lot of ideas.'" He also appreciated the fact that he found his color by challenging various genres such as jazz, indie, and hip-hop.
