Byun Woo-seok and IU are in a romantic relationship...Appearing in the '21st Century Grand Prince Wife'

Actors IU and Byun Woo-seok will work together with romance in the constitutional monarchy of Korea.

Kakao Entertainment announced on the 2nd that IU and Byun Woo-seok have confirmed their casting in MBC's new drama 「21st Century Grand Prince Wife」 (Gaje, Planning Kang Dae-seon, Playwright Yoo Ah-in, Produced by MBC Kakao Entertainment).

'21st Century Grand Prince Lady (tentative title)' is a 21st century constitutional monarchy in Korea. It depicts the romance of a man who is a chaebol with everything, but who is the son of an annoying woman and a king because his status is only 'common', but who is sad because he can't have anything. MBC and Kakao Entertainment will be in charge of producing the MBC drama script contest.

IU plays the role of the second child 'Sung Hee-joo', who was born with a golden spoon and has a brilliant beauty, intelligence, and a strong desire to win. The commoner status, which he thought was no big deal, became an obstacle to his life, and he became involved with Prince Ian. Expectations are rising on how IU, who has shown solid acting skills across genres such as intimate and delicate emotions and suctionable eyes through 'My Mister', 'Hotel Del Luna', and 'Broker', will portray 'Sung Hee-joo' in her work in a charming way.

Byun Woo-seok plays the 21st century constitutional monarchy as the Republic of Korea's 'Iandaegun'. Born as the king's second son, he is destined to have nothing but royalty, and he, who has always hidden himself, meets Sung Hee-joo and changes begin.

Attention is focusing on how Byun Woo-suk, who shook the hearts of fans around the world by showing a fresh youth romance with `Bounce on Sunjae,' will turn into a modern-day royal this time.

Meanwhile, '21st Century Grand Prince's Wife (tentative title)" is scheduled to air in the second half of 2025.
