Park Na-rae was born in Muan-gun, Jeollanam-do, and spent her childhood in Mokpo. When she won the MBC Entertainment Awards in 2019, Park Na-rae's hometown was also given a placard containing the phrase 「"Park Na-rae, OOO daughter of Mangwol-ri, Ilro-eup, Muan-gun, won the MBC Entertainment Awards."
As the disaster occurred in his hometown of Muan, he seems to want to support victims and convey his condolences through donations.
Earlier, at 9:03 a.m. on the 29th, a Jeju Air flight 7C2216 from Bangkok, Thailand, exploded after colliding with the wall of the airport's outer wall during an emergency landing at Muan International Airport in Jeollanam-do.
A total of 181 passengers, including 175 passengers and six crew members, were on the plane, and all but two Thais were confirmed to be Korean passengers.
The accident killed all 179 passengers except for two crew members.
Accordingly, the government declared Muan-gun, Jeollanam-do, a special disaster area, and designated seven days as a national mourning period until 24:00 on the 4th of next month.
