It's been four years since actor Park Yoon-bae passed away.

Park Yoon-bae died in 2020 at the age of 73 after battling pulmonary fibrosis. Pulmonary fibrosis is a disease that causes major breathing problems due to hardening of lung tissue. Park Yoon-bae, who is said to have smoked a lot during her lifetime, was first suspected of being infected with COVID-19, but was later diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis. At the time, his son Park Ji-man said, `My father always said 'I am a rural bachelor' and 'Please remember my simple and friendly father for a long time.'

Park Yoon-bae, who debuted as a theater actor in 1969, made her appearance on the small screen in earnest in 1973 with the sixth MBC recruitment talent. In particular, he was loved by the public by playing the role of a simple rural young man 'Eung Sam Yi in 『The Country Diary』 (1980-2002), which is considered the longest-running drama in Korea. Loved by many viewers for his affectionate acting and friendly image, he is more familiarly remembered under the nickname 'Eungsami'.




Since then, Park Yoon-bae has continued to play in various works. He expanded his acting spectrum by appearing in period dramas such as the dramas 'Land' (2004) and 'Yeon Gaesomun' (2005), and also appeared in movies 'Yeo'(1986),'Now Yangji'(1988), and'Arahan Jangpungdae Operation'(2004) and met with the audience.

In January last year, the deceased was reproduced through deepfake and artificial intelligence (AI) technology in tvN Story 'Chairman's People'. In the broadcast at the time, Park Yoon-bae gave a virtual greeting to the cast of 'Jeonwon Diary' and her daughter Park Hye-mi.
