IU Wins Lawsuit Against Accuser Over False Copyright Claims

Singer and actress IU won a lawsuit for damages against the accuser A, who claimed copyright infringement.

Judge Lee Kun-hee of the Seoul Central District Court on the 18th ruled in favor of the plaintiff in a damages lawsuit filed by IU against the alleged accuser, A, and admitted the legal value of 30 million won.

Earlier in September last year, IU filed a lawsuit for damages by listing the defendant as 'Unnamed' because she could not identify A's personal information. Later, it was known that the investigative agency specified A's personal information through the court.

After IU's lawsuit, A has consistently responded by not appointing a legal representative.

In May last year, A filed a complaint with the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul, claiming that IU violated music copyright. IU's 'Good Day'Pink God'Bibbi'Bibbi'Bibbi'Bubi'Celebrity' is a total of six songs.

In response, IU, who composed, composed, produced, and composed the composer and 'celebrity'Bibbi', respectively, submitted a rebuttal that the accusation was different from the facts, and the police rejected A's accusation. The dismissal is to close the case because it does not meet the requirements in the complaint and complaint procedure.

Since then, IU has filed a lawsuit against the accuser in the Seoul Central District Court in early September to hold the artist responsible for the defamation of the artist through the identity of the legal representative (limited) law firm. He then emphasized that `We will never overlook indiscriminate slander against our artists and that we will track down those who damage their reputation and image to the end and hold them accountable.'
