Earlier in the morning of September, a minor fan approached Jesse and asked him to take a photo in Apgujeong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, and was assaulted by a man in Jesse's group.
Later, Jesse and his group were seen stopping the perpetrator through CCTV, but Jesse left the scene soon after. As a result, controversy arose that Jesse had been on the sidelines of fan assault.
In addition, police who were dispatched to report the victim visited Jesse's group and asked about the whereabouts of the assailant, but they reportedly said they did not know.
Later, the fan filed a complaint against Jesse and four others on charges of assault and other charges.
