Kim Ji-min said on the 29th "Please, I hope there are more people who are rescued. I'm desperate..a tribute was posted with the words ". Kim Ji-min continued "An incredible and terrible thing happened. May he rest in peace." in memory of the victims.
Jeju Air Flight 7C2216 from Bangkok, Thailand, left the runway at Muan Airport in South Jeolla Province on the 29th. 181 people, including 175 passengers and six crew members, were on board the aircraft, and two of them were rescued and taken to a nearby hospital.
The Jeollanam-do Fire Department is identifying the exact identity by checking the passenger list and the boarding location in the aircraft, saying that two out of 181 people are believed to have survived and the remaining 179 are all dead.
Jeju Air CEO Kim Yi-bae said, `It is difficult to determine the cause of the accident at this time, and we have to wait for the official announcement of the investigation by the relevant government agencies.' `We will make every effort to quickly resolve the accident and support the families of passengers and do our best to find out the cause of the accident with the government," he bowed his head.
