Kim Ji-hoon was found dead at a hotel in Jangchung-dong, Jung-gu, Seoul on December 12, 2013. He was 38.
According to the deceased's agency at the time, Kim Ji-hoon suffered from depression for about a year. He was treated with medication, but he passed away. No suicide note is said to have been found.
Kim Ji-hoon, who debuted as a mixed group Tutu in 1994, was loved for many hits such as "1 1/2", "Even Your Tears", and "Cheating Woman". Later in 1999, Kim Seok-min and Tuke released songs such as 'Starian' and 'Party Tonight'.
Kim Ji-hoon was also loved as an all-around entertainer, appearing in various entertainment programs such as the `Seo Se-won Show' and `Time Machine`. However, in 2009, he was charged with drug administration and sentenced to 10 months in prison and two years of probation.
Since then, Kim Ji-hoon has gone downhill, eventually being listed on the MBC prohibition list, and had to spend time self-reflection. As a result, he married in 2008 and had a son, but divorced in 2011.
The deceased dreamed of a comeback, but it was not possible, and it was said that he suffered from debt demands during his lifetime.
