Lee Jun-ho pays sincerity for 17 years and omits intentionally

Singer and actor Lee Jun-ho refuted the allegations of tax evasion.

On the 26th, Lee Joon-ho explained through his agency JYP Entertainment that the National Tax Service recently conducted a high-intensity tax investigation and collected hundreds of millions of won in taxes.

Lee Joon-ho said, "We faithfully complied with the tax investigation conducted by the Seoul Regional Tax Office Investigation Bureau 2 in September 2023 as part of the irregular planning and tax investigation of corporate business artists, and this is not the investigation received due to suspicion of tax evasion."

He then filed a tax return faithfully with the advice of a tax agent and paid additional taxes due to the difference in perspective between the tax authorities and the tax agent"The irregular tax audit, which was received for the first time in 17 years of activity, complied with the laws and procedures of the tax authorities and paid the amount of tax with differences in position, and the intentional omission of tax is not true."

He emphasized that "Since his debut, he has been active for a long time and has been faithful to his duty to pay taxes, and there is nothing unsavory about taxes."

Earlier in September last year, the Seoul Regional Tax Office's Investigation Bureau 2 conducted an irregular tax investigation against actor Lee Joon-ho and collected a large amount of taxes.

At that time, the tax investigation was conducted as part of the 'Corporate Business Artist Non-regular Integrated Planning and Tax Investigation' targeting high-value asset owners. Lee Joon-ho owns two officetels in Cheongdam-dong worth 1.5 billion won to 1.8 billion won per unit, and this year, he purchased a commercial building on Apgujeong Rodeo Street in Sinsa-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul for 17.5 billion won in March under the name of the family corporation JF Company.

The building was purchased by actor Kang Soo-yeon, who died in May 2022, for 8 billion won in 2017. It has one basement and four ground floors.

An official from the National Tax Service said, "Seoul National Tax Service Investigation Bureau 2 conducts tax investigations on high-value wealthy people and famous celebrities"There is no problem, but there is no case of launching a tax investigation."

▶Lee Jun-ho's official position on the alleged tax evasion

Hello, we're JYP Entertainment.

I would like to inform you about the report on our artist Lee Junho.

As a result of checking with myself, I would like to inform you that I faithfully responded to the tax investigation conducted by the Seoul Regional Tax Office Investigation Bureau 2 as part of the irregular planning and tax investigation of corporate artists in September 2023 and that this was not an investigation due to suspicion of tax evasion.

With the advice of a tax agent, I filed a tax return faithfully and paid additional taxes due to the difference in perspective between the tax authorities and the tax agent.

The irregular tax audit, which was received for the first time in 17 years, complied with the tax authorities' laws and procedures and paid tax amounts with differences in positions, and the deliberate omission of taxes is not true.

Since his debut, Lee Joon-ho has been active for a long time and has been faithful to his duty to pay taxes, and there is nothing unsavory about taxes.

Thank you.
