The musical 'Matahari', starring Ok Joo-hyun Solar, ended its opening with the lure of Matahari, which became more intense.

'Matahari' opened at LG Art Center Seoul and LG SIGNATURE Hall on the 5th and successfully completed its first performance. Musical 'Matahari', which returns for its fourth season with Ok Joo-hyun and Solar, is a legendary performance that has been upgraded from the previous season, showing everything a large musical can show and receiving favorable reviews as 'Completion'.

Ok Joo-hyun and Sola played Matahari captivated the audience with their irreplaceable charm. Ok Joo-hyun, who participated in all of the stories as Matahari following the premiere in 2016, the reenactment in 2017, and the Samyeon in 2022, became Matahari itself, impressing with more delicate character expression and overwhelming singing skills. Solar, who debuted in her first musical through the musical 'Matahari' in 2022, also received great acclaim for her mature performance by expressing Matahari with a more solid appearance.



In addition, all actors proved to be the most immersive cast of all time, including Armand, Enoch, Kim Sung-sik, Yoon So-ho, Colonel Radu, Choi Min-cheol, No Yoon, Anna, Choi Na-rae, Yoon Sa-bong, and French Defense Minister Fangrbe, Kim Joo-ho, Hong Kyung-soo, and Ahn Jin-young, who played Magaretta, completely embodied in the character.

Regarding his feelings after the first performance, Ok Joo-hyun, who plays Matahari, said, "(After the performance), all actors of the musical 'Matahari' will do their best to avoid any regrets left. Musical 'Matahari' was created based on the true story of the beautiful martial artist 'Matahari' (real name Magaretta Gertur de Zelle), who was arrested and shot by French authorities on double espionage charges during World War I.



The EMK Musical Company's first creative musical, 'Matahari', was loved by audiences every season since its premiere in 2016, with composer Frank Wildhorn and lyricist Jack Murphy, led by Eom Hong-hyun, who led musicals 'Rebecca', 'Laughing Man', 'Beethoven Secret'.

At the time of its premiere in 2016, the musical 'Matahari' was recognized for its workability by winning three consecutive months, topping the reservation ranking for three consecutive months, surpassing 100,000 viewers within eight weeks of its opening, and winning an average audience share of 90 percent.
