NewJeans Joins YOASOBI's Concert in Korea Amid Contract Controversy

The group NewJeans appeared as a guest at the Japanese duo YOASOBI's performance in Korea.

On the 7th, New Jeans performed on the stage of
YOASOBI's second concert in Korea 'Yoavo Asia Tour 2024-2025 Surreal' held at Inspire Arena in Jung-gu, Incheon. After staging 'How Sweet', NewJeans sang 'Right Now' with Ikura and the Yoavo hit song 'Biri-Biri' released last year. Ikura also responded with a line from NewJeans' representative song 'Dito'.

What stands out is that he didn't put the name 'NewJeans' in his mouth. Please introduce yourself to each memberI've met
YOASOBI's  a lot. I received a lot of energy and learned a lot from watching YOASOBI's performance. It's an honor to be a guest like this."

Therefore, Ikura "I'm glad that you came to the concert today because you were a guest at NewJeans' Tokyo Dome performance. We are also a tremendous Bunnies (NewJeans fan club), so we really have a dreamy collaboration."

As of the 29th of last month, Newzins announced that it would terminate its exclusive contract with its agency, Adore. The members argued that they were not obligated to compensate for separate lawsuits or penalties because they were terminating the contract due to Adore's breach of contract. He also said that he would carry out all the scheduled schedules and would not give up on Newzins' name.

The industry was shocked by the unprecedented drastic move. Related organizations, such as the Yeonje Association, issued a statement to the effect that `Newzins' unilateral notice of termination of the contract is absurd and malicious, which could shake the foundation of K-pop,' urging them to return to the adore.

Audor also filed a lawsuit to confirm the validity of the exclusive contract.

Nevertheless, NewJeans emphasized that Adore was afraid and disgusted by shadowing the members and former CEO Min Hee-jin, spreading false information, and even persecuted staff members who helped them with their schedules.

In response, Law & More's lawyer Lee Ji-hoon should change his name, not NewJeans, if he is engaged in activities through his personal channel 'Knowing Attorney'. NewJeans claims to have duly given notice of termination based on the contract. Then, as in the contract, trademarks or intellectual property rights for copyrights and names are, of course, in Adore. The contract is terminated, but if the name NewJeans is not given up, liability for damages may arise. You have to look at the contract to see if you can do entertainment activities. If intellectual property rights are in Odor, they shouldn't even sing."
