Earlier, at 10:24 p.m. on the 3rd, President Yoon declared emergency martial law in an emergency public address, saying, `We will rebuild and protect a free Korea that is falling into the abyss of ruin.' He stressed that `we will eradicate anti-state forces and normalize the state.'
However, at around 1 a.m. on the 4th, the National Assembly passed a resolution calling for the lifting of the emergency martial law with the approval of all 190 lawmakers present. The National Assembly speaker's office said the emergency martial law was nullified.
President Yoon responded at around 4:30 a.m. on the 4th, saying, `Respectful people. As of 11 p.m. last night, I declared emergency martial law with the will of the rescue, determined to paralyze the essential functions of the state and to collapse the liberal democratic constitutional order"I let off the rhyme.
