On the 29th, Jeju Air Flight 7C2216 from Bangkok, Thailand, crashed into the outer wall while attempting to land on the runway at Muan International Airport in Jeollanam-do.
181 people, including 175 passengers and six crew members, were on board the aircraft, and two of them were rescued and taken to a nearby hospital. As of 3:18 p.m., the death toll was 124, according to the National Fire Agency.
After the accident, Jeju Air said "We would like to apologize to all those affected by the Muan Airport accident" and "First of all, we will do everything we can to resolve the accident. I'm sorry to have caused you any concern", he apologized.
