This exhibition is a global 'K-immersive Content' created in collaboration with the exhibition agency SOOP International', which recreates the world-renowned movie "Cinema Heaven" as a digital immersive exhibition.
Director Giuseppe Tornatore's film 'Cinema Heaven', which was released in Korea in July 1990, is a masterpiece that was recognized for its cinematic quality by winning the 42nd Cannes Film Festival Jury Prize and the 62nd Academy Foreign Language Film Prize. The story of the growth and love of the main character Toto and the OST of Ennio Morricone are still loved to this day. The movie, which has been re-played around the world for more than 30 years since its release, is also being connected to a new generation in OTT and YouTube. It is also reinterpreted as a variety of cultural contents such as classical concerts and film concerts, and is constantly expanding its cultural influence.
The emotion of the movie 'Cinema Heaven' has been reborn as immersive content that can be enjoyed with the five senses.
'Cinema Heavenly Immersive Special Exhibition-TO.TOTO' is composed of a total of 18 spaces, including three main points, based on the emotion of the original film, providing an immersive experience to the audience.
In the exhibition's 'Originality's Zone', original works such as Sicilian bicycles and costumes in the film were placed, and documentaries and interview videos were prepared by director Giuseppe Tornatore and music director Ennio Morricone. From the entrance to the exhibition hall, the entrance to the cinema in 'Cinema Heaven' was reproduced, and the main background of the movie, such as a movie theater and a square, was implemented so that visitors could fully immerse themselves in the content.
'Overwhelming Zone' offers an overwhelming experience that transcends time and space with the nation's largest exhibition hall and advanced digital technology. The background of the love story in the movie, 'Millfield', was embodied in a real wheat field and a digital sky to create a vast space. In addition, an immersive room is provided with a space where visitors can watch the highlights of the youth Toto period, providing a vivid experience as if they had entered a movie.
In 'Ennio's Music Room', which adds a colorful visual pleasure and auditory impression, you can enjoy the OST of music director Ennio Morricone in surround sound. Director Ennio Morricone is a master of film music who has captured the hearts of people around the world, including 'Cinema Heaven' and 'Once Upon a Time in America', 'Untouchable', 'Mission' and 'Love Affair'.
The exhibition, accompanied by the Italian Cultural Center, is also attracting attention as a project symbolizing cultural cooperation to commemorate the 140th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea and Italy.
