Baseball player who married girl group member admits affair with business and apologizes for rash actions

Japan's national baseball shortstop, Genda Sosuke, admitted to entering entertainment establishments and having an affair.

On the 12th, Genda Sosuke said on his channel "I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and concern caused by his modest behavior. I am deeply reflecting on the fact that I made my wife suffer and sad" he said.

Then "I had a direct conversation with my wife about this and resolved to walk out together as a couple. From now on, I will try to repay you through baseball," he said.

Genda Sosuke made his debut as a first-team player in 2017 and gained popularity as he was selected for the national team. He is currently a member of the Saitama Seibu Lions.

Genda Sosuke married Eto Misa, a former Japanese girl group Nozaka 46, in 2019 and had one son and one daughter. Recently, however, it was controversial that Genda Sosuke had an affair with a woman in her 20s who worked at an entertainment establishment for nearly a year and had a meeting with a merchant during the '2024 WBSC Premier 12" competition in Taiwan last November.

Then Eto Misa "I'm sorry for making a fuss about something personal. We decided to move forward together. I will help my husband concentrate on baseball." Instead, he offered an apology.
