Having just taken off his hanbok from a historical drama, he tried to transform himself again in his next film 'Severe Trauma Center'. The original Netflix series 'Severe Trauma Center', which was released on the 24th, tells the story of genius surgeon Baek Kang-hyuk (played by Joo Ji-hoon), who was on the battlefield, when he took the post to resuscitate a famous severe trauma team. In the drama, Chu plays Yang Jae-won, an elite fellow and a former head of the Korea University medical school.

'Plaza' is a noir action genre that tells the story of Dae-jun (played by So Ji-seop), who left the organization, returning to dig up the secrets related to his brother's death. Chu Young-woo will play Geum Son, the son of the head of the organization and an incumbent prosecutor, creating tension between the law and the organization. He will take off the soft image he showed in his previous work and show off his intense charisma and make another acting transformation.
The tvN drama 'Gyeonwoo and the Fairy' will then add romantic sensibilities. Based on the popular webtoon of the same name, he plays Gyeon-woo, who dreams of fresh love, and has a fantasy romance with Joey-hyun. As the two reunite after 'School 2021', they look forward to more mature acting skills and new chemistry.
