Leonardo DiCaprio said on the 15th (local time) that the Los Angeles wildfires are devastating our city.
"To support both urgent needs and post-fire recovery efforts, we are contributing $1 million in collaboration with Rewild's Quick Response Program."
The initial funding will be immediately provided to emergency services and firefighters, including the LA Fire Department Foundation, the California Fire Foundation, the World Central Kitchen, the California Community Foundation, the Pasadena Humane Society, and the SoCal Fire Fund, as well as organizations that provide the resources needed by the people, animals and communities who need them most." he said.
Earlier, DiCaprio traveled to Mexico on a private jet with his lover amid heavy damage from simultaneous wildfires in the Los Angeles area, sparking public criticism.
Meanwhile, the exact cause of the L.A. large fire has not been identified, but environmental destruction is the main cause.
