Jang Won-young, a member of the group IVE, partially won the second trial of a damage suit filed against Park, the operator of the YouTuber 'Taldeok Detention Center' who spread malicious rumors.

On the 22nd, the Seoul Central District Court's Civil Appeals Department 9-3 (Chief Judge Yoon Jae-nam, Goodwill Jong Jung Deok-soo) ruled that Jang Won-young should pay 50 million won in a compensation suit filed against Park, the operator of the YouTube channel 'Taldeok concentration camp'.

Earlier, the first trial asked him to pay 100 million won, but the payment was halved at the appeal trial.

From October 2021 to June last year, the Taldeok concentration camp is accused of defaming seven celebrities, including celebrities and influencer, by posting 23 videos that slander them.

'Taldeok concentration camp' is a YouTube channel that produces videos based on malicious rumors of idols and has been deleted.

According to the prosecution's analysis of YouTube channel accounts, the Taldeok concentration camp earned a total of 250 million won over two years.

The Taldeok concentration camp was sued by Jang Won-young and his agency Starship Entertainment for distributing fake news several times that included rumors of Ive Jang Won-young's romantic relationship and rumors of discord between members.

In the 100 million damages lawsuit filed by Jang Won-young and Starship Entertainment, some of the plaintiffs were ruled in favor, but the Taldeok concentration camp even filed an appeal for the first trial's suspension of execution, expressing its unfairness.

In addition, the Taldeok concentration camp is also filing a lawsuit for damages against BTS V and Jungkook, and Kang Daniel's grand jury was sentenced to 30 million won in compensation in the first trial, but objected. In addition, civil and criminal lawsuits are being filed against various artists and agencies.
