Broadcaster Jang Sung-kyu donated 10 million won to support the damage of Jeju Air's disaster.

The "2024 KBS Acting Awards" was scheduled to be broadcast live, but it was converted to a recorded broadcast due to the Jeju Air plane disaster that occurred on the 29th of the same month.

Meanwhile, at 9:03 a.m. on December 29 last year, Jeju Air Flight 7C2216 from Bangkok, Thailand, exploded after colliding head-on with the wall of the airport's outer wall during an emergency landing at Muan International Airport in Jeollanam-do.

Of the 181 passengers on board, 179 were killed except for two crew members. Accordingly, the government declared Muan-gun, Jeollanam-do, a special disaster area, and designated it as a national mourning period until 24:00 on the 4th.

In the entertainment industry, donation processions are continuing to mourn the victims and comfort the bereaved families.
