Actor Joo Ji-hoon (43) mentioned the fierce surgical scene of 'The Trauma Code.'
Joo Ji-hoon met with Sports Chosun at a cafe in Jongno-gu, Seoul on the afternoon of the 23rd and interviewed Netflix's original series 'Severe Trauma Center' (played by Choi Tae-gang, directed by Lee Do-yoon). Joo Ji-hoon returned to a medical drama about 12 years after MBC 'Medical Top Team' (2013). Back then, "Medical Top Team" had a 5.6 percent rating (Nilson Korea's national standard) and suffered a crushing defeat, which drew attention to his courage to choose a medical drama again. Joo Ji-hoon is a unicorn-like work on 'Medical Top Team' It exists, but no one has seen it.," he said, drawing laughter.

Joo Ji-hoon "Medical Top Team" was helpful. There were many scenes of surgery, so I couldn't ignore it and move on. We worked really hard on it. I couldn't approach lightly because it was a matter of life. There are moments when every minute and every second is important in the 'Severe Trauma Center', and how difficult is it actually to drill a hole in the head in a helicopter. But if the surgery is real, the great reason is that you have to do micro-surgery skills quickly, so did you watch it on video?? It was important whether dramatic spectacles could go in and if they could give dramatic pleasure beyond that."

Joo Ji-hoon then said, `This is not a documentary-like work, but nevertheless, I thought about it like crazy and almost died. In the play, there is a scene in which a heart rupture patient whose heart is torn is operated, and in fact, even if only the blood from the play comes out, it is already dead. If the heart ruptures just 1cm, I'm going to die, and if the blood soars, I already have to move on to 'Kingdom'. It's that dramatic, but it's not irrelevant, but the director of the Severe Trauma Center at Ewha Womans University Hospital was always present and had a meeting of our surgery. There were also top-notch nurses. With that, we continue to gather and have meetings the day before and on the day off. Everyone is divided over the case. Some say it might be possible, and others say it's really dangerous. That's how much I thought about each one and made it. I'm telling you now that it's over, but I'm really tired of it. It's a work that I put the most effort into in my 20 years of work. Surprising. It's a bright and cheerful work to look at."

"Severe Trauma Center" is a work that tells the exhilarating story of Baek Kang-hyuk (Joo Ji-hoon), a genius surgeon who worked on the battlefield, when he was appointed to resuscitate a famous severe trauma team. Joo Ji-hoon played Baek Kang-hyuk, a genius surgeon who has no skills, money, and a sense of mission.

'Severe Trauma Center' will be released on Netflix on the 24th.
