The Netflix series 'Severe Trauma Center', which was released on January 24 (Friday), is drawing attention every day amid favorable reviews. According to the Netflix Tudum TOP 10 website on the 29th, 'Severe Trauma Center' recorded 4,700,000 viewers (viewing time divided by the total running time of the work) from the 20th to the 26th, ranking third in the global TV show (non-English) category three days after its release. On top of that, from the moment it was released to today, it ranked No. 1 in the `Korea's TOP 10 Series' as well as ranked on the Top 10 list of 26 countries around the world, including Chile, Peru, Romania, Singapore, the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, and the United Arab Emirates.
'Severe Trauma Center' is a pleasant story that takes place when Baek Kang-hyuk (Joo Ji-hoon), a genius surgeon who was on the battlefield, is appointed to resuscitate a famous severe trauma team. Genius doctor 'Baek Kang-hyuk', who performed an uncompromising bulldozer even in extreme circumstances, and 'Team Severe's relentless run to protect the golden time of patients gave catharsis in pleasant laughter and shook the hearts of viewers around the world. Above all, the actors' enthusiastic performance, which drew 200% of the character's charm with lively acting, is also receiving favorable reviews.
Ju Ji-hoon, who renewed his life character as 'Baek Kang-hyuk', Chu Young-woo, who was reborn as a true severe trauma, veteran nurse who is a strong support at the Severe Trauma Center 'Cheon Rose', Yoon Kyung-ho, a humane anal surgery manager 'Han Yu-rim', and Jeong Jae-kwang, a patient anesthesiologist 'Park Kyung-won', focused on the completeness of the character play.
The veteran production team's efforts to maximize the pleasure of Baek Kang-hyuk's hero-class performance also shone. Director Lee Do-yoon completed a performance that transcends reality and fantasy with a well-made production with details. In particular, Baek Kang-hyuk, who had enough exciting surgical skills to feel like a fantasy, increased his concentration on the character itself by refraining from the original's stylish and cartoonish expressions as much as possible, and the art of the emergency room and severe trauma center, which are the main spaces of the work, also focused on reality. Director Lee Do-yoon said, "(Actually, it is an urgent place where life comes and goes, so I tried to maintain a solemn and serious atmosphere as much as possible. However, past scenes in which Baek Kang-hyuk was active were highlighted with exaggerated art," he stressed.
