KBS2's new drama 'Namju's First Night' has been embroiled in a controversy over the damage to cultural assets while filming at Byeongsan Seowon, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. During the filming process, it was revealed that the props were installed by nailing the pillar of the Mandeoru, drawing criticism.

On the 2nd, architect Min Seo-hong revealed the filming site he witnessed when he visited Byeongsan Seowon on December 30 last year through his SNS. Byeongsanseowon Confucian Academy is an important cultural asset designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site as historic site No. 260, he said, and he witnessed staff nailing wooden pillars to install drama props. The photos released by architect Min clearly showed the installation on the top of the pillar to shoot the drama.

When architect Min asked the staff "Is it okay to damage the cultural properties?" at the filming site in question, some of the staff members "received permission from Andong City." showed an insincere attitude. Architect Min immediately reported this to the Cultural Heritage Department of Andong City Hall and the National Heritage Administration. In response, an Andong city official said that although he had permission to film, he was not aware of the act of nailing the pillar. Since then, the demolition has been carried out, but filming has been carried out as scheduled.

Architect Min was shocked to hear that damage to cultural properties occurs frequently at the filming site of the dramaHe pointed out that "a fundamental question arises about the use of cultural properties as filming locations" itself." In particular, he expressed deep regret that this happened during the filming of the drama by the public broadcaster KBS.

The KBS2 drama `Having the First Night of Namjoo' is a romance fantasy in which an ordinary female college student becomes entangled with the protagonist in a novel by pretending to be a minor role like a folding screen in a romance novel. The production team said "We are checking the current situation".
