KBS Drama Filming Sparks Outrage Over Damage to UNESCO Heritage Site

Byeongsanseowon Confucian Academy is an important cultural asset designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site as historic site No. 260, he said, and he witnessed staff nailing wooden pillars to install drama props. The photos released by architect Min clearly showed the installation on the top of the pillar to shoot the drama.
When architect Min asked the staff "Is it okay to damage the cultural properties?" at the filming site in question, some of the staff members "received permission from Andong City." showed an insincere attitude. Architect Min immediately reported this to the Cultural Heritage Department of Andong City Hall and the National Heritage Administration. In response, an Andong city official said that although he had permission to film, he was not aware of the act of nailing the pillar.
