Actor Lee Jung-jae has been rumored to join the Marvel Universe again.

Foreign media Comic Book Movie reported on the 2nd that Lee Jung-jae, who showed outstanding performances in Netflix 'Squid Game 2' and Disney+ 'Acolite', is likely to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

The report is highly likely because it is not the first time that Lee Jung-jae joined the Marvel Universe.

Comic Book Movie.COM quoted Scooper MTTSH and others as saying that `It is not yet known who Lee will play in the MCU, but it is possible that he is not a particular hero or villain.'

In addition, Comic Book Movie is a style in which Marvel Studios COO Kevin Feige contacts actors who want to work without a specific character in mind. There is a possibility that Lee Jung-jae could have chosen from several roles.

If Lee Jung-jae joins the MCU, he will be the fourth Korean actor to participate after Soo-hyun (Avengers: Age of Ultron), Ma Dong-seok (Eternals), and Park Seo-joon (The Marvels).

Earlier in 2022, foreign media reported that Lee Jung-jae was discussing MCU-related roles with Marvel Studios. At the time, U.S. webzine RPK editor Dynell Richman said on his personal social media account that `Lee Jung-jae is discussing MCU-related roles with Marvel Studios.'

Meanwhile, according to Flixpatrol, a site that compiles global OTT rankings, 'Squid Game 2', which was unveiled on December 26 last year, ranked No. 1 in the global TV show category on Netflix as of the 1st of this month, the 7th day of its release, and held the throne for the 6th day from December 27th. By country, it ranked first in all 93 countries that count Netflix viewers on Flix Patrol. As a result, the work has enjoyed syndrome-level popularity, maintaining its top status in all 93 countries for five consecutive days since December 28.
