Architect Min Seo-hong recently wrote on his SNS, "Record the sightings of Byeongsanseowon Confucian Academy." posted a picture of installing a lamp for drama props on the top of the Mandaeru pillar.
According to his eyewitness accounts, a drama shooting took place at Byeongsan Seowon Confucian Academy, which is historic No. 260 and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, on the afternoon of December 30. Min then reported it to the National Heritage Administration and reported it to various broadcasters, saying, "I learned that this happens frequently, and I heard even more absurd stories, especially in modern historic sites, columns and walls are often dismantled for filming purposes." he insisted.
Unlike obtaining permission to film in cultural properties, nailing and placing a back on the cultural properties themselves constitutes damage to cultural properties. Therefore, controversy over such actions is expected to continue.
