Lee Seung-hwan to recruit 100 bookers from today and donate all of them if they win

Singer Lee Seung-hwan will start recruiting manuscripts today (3rd) while officially taking legal action to cancel the Gumi concert.

On the 3rd, Lee Seung-hwan announced 'Lee Seung-hwan's concert damage suit (delegation contract)'Information on recruiting 100 plaintiffs for Gumi concert damage suit'

According to Lee Seung-hwan's explanation, the lawsuit is filed against Gumi Mayor Kim Jang-ho and others who unilaterally and unfairly canceled the rental contract of the Gumi Culture and Arts Center on December 23, 2024 (hereinafter referred to as 'unfair cancellation of this case') and canceled Lee Seung-hwan's 35th anniversary performance on December 25, 2024.

Lawyer Lim Jae-sung of Haemaru Law Firm, the legal representative, said "In consultation with Lee Seung-hwan, we decided to sign a delegation contract (recruitment of plaintiffs) only for 100 people who reserved the performance in this case." The claim for damages is 500,000 won each for the performance reservation holder in the case, and the deposit is borne by Lee Seung-hwan and is not charged to the reservation holder.

The recruitment target is Lee Seung-hwan's 35th anniversary concert 'HEAVEN' who booked the Gumi concert himself, which is not possible if the ticket is transferred or presented. The application method is to submit an email, open the online application form from 2 p.m. on the 3rd, and close on a first-come, first-served basis at 6 p.m. on the 7th of the same month.

Earlier, Lee Seung-hwan was scheduled to hold a 35th anniversary concert at the Gumi Culture and Arts Center on December 25 last year, but Gumi Mayor Kim Jang-ho notified the cancellation of the rental two days before the performance due to concerns about clashes between the audience and conservative right-wing organizations. Lee Seung-hwan claimed that Gumi City forced the signing of a pledge related to political agitation and that the performance was canceled when it refused.

In addition to compensation for the staff, Lee Seung-hwan said he will bear the full cost of a damage suit filed by 100 spectators against Gumi Mayor Kim Jang-ho. Lim Jae-sung, a lawyer at Haemaru Law Firm, a legal representative, said Lee Seung-hwan and concert bookers plan to claim damages against Mayor Kim, and the total amount of claims included 100 million won in damages and 500,000 won per audience.

Regarding the compensation, he also said, "(If I win, I will donate all of it to our Dreamlight Youth Orchestra in Gumi City.") and added, "(If the lawyer) receives a success fee, I will donate a large portion of it."
