Like last summer's 'questions', which will be newly released in 2025, it still contains the concerns of Korean society, but the result is a little different. The production team named this season's keyword 'Life Goes On' The theme consciousness is how to keep citizens' lives unshakable amid the massive events that Korean society is experiencing, such as the arrest of the incumbent president following martial law.
In particular, the first 'questions' in 2025 will be discussed live for 100 minutes with Daegu Mayor Hong Joon Pyo and writer Rhyu Si-min on the subject of the rapidly changing political situation after the emergency martial law failure. This is the first face-to-face discussion between the two since the last 2023 '100-minute discussion special'.
At a time when the ruling and opposition parties are sharply divided over martial law and civil war, a fierce debate is expected over the public sentiment of the Lunar New Year. MBC decided to conduct the discussion live to make use of the timing of the discussion and to eliminate disagreements over editing.
From February, after the Lunar New Year holiday, viewers visit every Tuesday at 9 p.m. Again, representative figures from various fields, including politics, media, and culture, will meet with host Son Suk-hee.
Last year's broadcast 'Question' was a talk show designed to solve the concerns of various fields of our society through interviews. Representative Jongwon Baek, writer Rhyu Si-min, writer Hwang Seok-young, actor Choi Min-sik, and actor Yoon Yeo-jeong shared their honest stories. At the time of broadcasting, it attracted great attention, recording the highest viewership of households in the metropolitan area at 5.9 percent and the highest MBC channel ratings as of the broadcast day.
MBC Reviewing Son Seok-hee's Questions will air at 8:40 a.m. on Jan. 28, the first day of the Lunar New Year holiday, and the main broadcast of Question, featuring Daegu Mayor Hong Joon Pyo and writer Rhyu Si-min, will air live for 100 minutes from 8:20 p.m. on Jan. 29.
