The Netflix series 『Squid Game Season 2" released on December 26 last year tells the story of a fierce battle between 『Ki Hoon" (Lee Jung-jae) who returns to participate in the game after vowing revenge and 'Frontman" (Lee Byung-hun) who greets him, and a real game that begins again.
Following season 1, Kim Beop-rae appeared as Kim Jung-rae, a loan shark, in 'Squid Game Season 2' and dominated the early atmosphere of the play.
If Jung Rae was a loan shark who lent money to Ki-hoon in 'Squid Game Season 1', he caught the attention by appearing as a person tracking Squid Game's recruitment book, Scabnam (Gong Yoo) in Season 2. Jeongrae, whose relationship between Ki-hoon and Gap is reversed, treats Ki-hoon with utmost sincerity and moves according to instructions. Kim Beop-rae proved his strong acting skills by showing a strong chemistry with Lee Jung-jae in season 2 following season 1.
In particular, Jeong-rae, who chased after Ddak-nam, was eventually kidnapped by him. Jeong-rae, who played Russian roulette with Choi Woo-seok (Jeon Seok-ho), risked his life 'Take one out of rock-paper-scissors' and pointed a gun at the loser's head, giving him a sweaty feeling in his hand. Kim Beop-rae controlled the flow of the play by vividly expressing the flashpoint of the character between life and death. He not only formed an urgent atmosphere with his eyes and lively facial expressions, but also delicately unraveled the psychology of the extreme, completing a three-dimensional character.
Kim Beop-rae, who appeared in season 2 following 'Squid Game Season 1', was deeply imprinted in viewers' minds by showing intense and immersive performances. In particular, even though they are the same person, they drew attention by drawing characters in opposite situations.
Meanwhile, in the musical 'Bloody Love', Kim Beop-rae plays Dracula, who has a mournful longing for a woman he loves, and captures the hearts of the audience. His musical 'Bloody Love' will be performed at KEPCO Art Center until February 16.
