Amid the rapid spread of wildfires in Los Angeles (LA), California, the mansion owned by Park Chan-ho (51) also suffered from wildfires.
According to the baseball community on the 10th, Park Chan-ho's mansion in Beverly Hills in the western United States was burned down by the L.A. wildfire.
Park Chan-ho is said to have purchased the house in 1999. It is a two-story mansion with 1,300 pyeong of land and 200 pyeong of land, and is designed in the typical California style. Seven bedrooms are equipped with exercise practice rooms, movie viewing rooms, swimming pools and steam bathrooms, and artificial waterfalls. Park Chan-ho was recently returning to the U.S. after a domestic schedule and staying with his family, and reportedly evacuated with his wife and three daughters at the time of the wildfire and is staying at a nearby hotel. No one in the family was reported to be injured.
Meanwhile, as the wildfire that started in the Pacific Palisades area, the representative rich town of LA, spread to Beverly Hills, the homes of U.S. President Joe Biden's second son Hunter family, Hilton Group heiress Paris Hilton, and singer-actress Mandy Moore were also burned.
As of the afternoon of the 10th (Korea Standard Time), the number of deaths in LA has increased to 10, and 180,000 people have been evacuated. More than 5,000 homes and buildings were burned, and property damage is estimated to be more than 200 trillion won.
