Actor Park Kyu-young took off her mask and gave an intense twist in Season 2 of the 「Squid Game」.

Season 2 of the Netflix series 『Squid Game』, released on December 26 last year, is drawing a heated response by depicting a fierce confrontation between Ki-hoon (Lee Jung-jae), who entered the game again with a determination to revenge, and a frontman (Lee Byung-hun), who greeted it, and a more brutal game. Among them, the identity of the character 'Noeul' played by Park Kyu-young was revealed, leaving a strong impression on fans around the world.

Noeul is a former North Korean soldier who participated in the game with a desperate desire to find his daughter he left in the North. But she surprised everyone by appearing in pink uniforms from host Pink Guard, rather than the green sweatpants worn by the contestants.




In the game, Noeul points his gun at the injured participants and shows an unusual appearance of trying to send them away painlessly. Regarding this role, Park Kyu-young explained, "'Slow is a character who agonizes between the guilt of losing her daughter and a small hope' and "'A character who plays with the belief that people who have no hope in life must be sent painlessly.'"

The appearance of Noeul expanded the world view of 'Squid Game' by showing the story of the host agent beyond the existing game participant-centered gaze. Meanwhile, Season 2 of 'Squid Game', starring Park Kyu-young, ranked No. 1 in the global top 10 in the Netflix series category in 93 countries on the global OTT ranking aggregation site 'Flix Patrol' at the same time as its release.
