Postponed Year-End Award Shows Air During Lunar New Year

MBC will broadcast the "2024 MBC Entertainment Awards" live at 8:20 p.m. on the 28th. At this award ceremony, entertainment stars from an era will appear as presenters to add meaning.
This year's entertainment program award, the best couple award, and the grand prize winner, which are determined by the audience's vote, are released and attracting attention. In particular, a celebratory stage with a retro concept that utilizes the sensibility of the 1990s is also prepared, raising expectations.
The "2024 SBS Entertainment Awards" will be held on the 29th. It was originally scheduled to be held on December 31, but it was canceled in consideration of the national mourning period and rescheduled for the day of the Lunar New Year. SBS said "We have prepared a place to celebrate the entertainers who shone in 2024 on the Lunar New Year when the true new year begins." Yoo Jae-seok, Jeon Hyun-moo, Shin Dong-yup, Lee Sang-min, Seo Jang-hoon, Lee Hyun-yi, and Kim Jong-guk will compete as candidates for the grand prize.
From 5:25 p.m. on the 29th and 30th, '2024 MBC Music Festival' will be broadcast. It was originally scheduled to be broadcast live on December 31, but it was changed to a recording method due to a Jeju Air plane accident. Instead of canceling the event itself due to the schedule problems of the singers, the recording was carried out as scheduled and the New Year's countdown event was omitted.
