Sojin was found collapsed in an apartment flower bed in Daedeok-gu, Daejeon, on February 24, 2015. He was later taken to a hospital, but died in the end. He was 22.
Sojin made her face known by appearing on MBC Music 'Kara Project' to select a new member of Kara. Sojin was among the four members of Baby Cara's seven members who entered the live broadcast, but she was not selected as a new member of Cara's. It is known that the deceased suffered from depression and went to Daejeon to live.
