Song Dae-gwan passed away on the 7th. The mortuary will be set up at the funeral hall of Seoul National University Hospital. An official from Song Dae-gwan said "He suddenly died of a heart attack on the 7th."
The deceased was usually suffering from chronic diseases, and although he performed surgery three times, he reportedly had difficulty improving.
Meanwhile, Song Dae-gwan, who debuted in 1967 with 'A compassionate Man', rose to stardom by becoming the top singer with 'Sunset Day' in 1976 after going through years of obscurity.
After a long hiatus after moving to the U.S., he made a comeback in the 1990s and became a top trot singer with hits such as 'Our Sooni', 'Chapyo', 'I said his hometown was in the south', and 'Four beats'.
