Actor Park Bo-young (35) expressed her feelings about the smoking scene.
Park Bo-young met with Sports Chosun at a cafe in Jongno-gu, Seoul on the morning of the 18th and interviewed Netflix's original series 'MeloMovie' (written by Lee Na-eun and directed by Oh Choong-hwan). Park Bo-young started her appearance on "MeloMovie" by Lee Na-eun. At first, I asked 'Is this right?' Movie is a cynical and thorny friend on the outside, so I wondered what he saw and gave me the script. But I'm a person who wanted to do this. There was no reason not to. It was one of the things I really wanted to show. If the bright and lovely image that I have done so far became the main thing, I now have a desire to show other images. Mubi thought it was worth the challenge."
Park Bo-young then has a high tone when she goes on a romance. Movie tried to tone it down because he wanted it to be low. During the first shoot, the director said 'It's still Park Bo-young ' I think that's why the director caught it well. I wanted to show a more mature side. I thought it was melodramatic but there was growth. I thought I could see the process of growing up. He said, "It's not just showing the sweet side, but it seems to look back on each other's pain and fill this person's pain, but as a result, I think it's a mature melodrama to grow up on your own."
Park Bo-young said, `I like movies, but while living as a character named Movies, there were actions that made me think, `I can do this because I'm a movie.' Even if you don't have to do that, there is a part where you think it'll be okay because it's a movie. Woo-sik filled in a lot of those parts. While doing this, I thought it would be uncomfortable on my own, and I was worried, but many people moved on with 'I can do that'. I was happy in a very different sense when I lived as a movie, and I think it was a good time for me as well."
Smoking was essential to express the feisty appearance of Kim Moobi. Some fans reacted enthusiastically, saying, `Park Bo-young's smoking is precious.' Park Bo-young "There were too many cooks when filming the scene. I think I got the most from that scene while directing acting. I was at the point of discussing that my fingers were wrong and the direction was wrong, and all the on-site staff who smoked came to me once and told me. At the end, when I filmed the scene, I was having a hard time, and I felt 'something came out naturally' in the scene 'Roaring'. I think I felt my development when I saw the 'Roaring' even before the cut," he said with a smile.
"Melo Movie" is a movie-like romance in which young people who want to love and dream find each other, become inspiration, and overcome their trauma. Since it was released on the 14th, it has been well received by some viewers for capturing the love of four young men and women. Park Bo-young played Kim Mo-bi, who becomes a film director in the play, and surprised viewers with a feisty look that has never been seen before.
