Lee Hyun-wook met with Sports Chosun at a cafe in Gangnam-gu, Seoul on the morning of the 19th for the end of the tvN X TVing original series 'Wonkyung' (played by Lee Young-mi, directed by Kim Sang-ho).
'Wonkyung' is a work that was controversial at the beginning of the play due to its high level of political affairs. In an open episode released through TVing, body parts were unveiled, making headlines. The scene became more controversial as the actor's agency demanded editing, but the production team did not accept it. Eventually, despite the fact that Studio Dragon, the production company, had undergone step-by-step confirmation with actors and agencies and had already been filming after recognizing that it would be produced in a 'youth viewing unavailable' grade, the misunderstanding grew.

Lee Hyun-wook then cried a lot. I cried a lot while watching the show. I also bullied him. I had a lot of time to doubt my acting. So I was actually scared of the interview. People outside say 'I'm watching too well', but there was also confusion inside me. It was very hard. I felt like I wouldn't be able to recover. But I was so fortunate to be able to do the interview, so I thought that I would be able to wrap up 'Wonder'. If I hadn't done this interview, I think that mind would have remained. In any case, I think I should express my gratitude because there are people who have suffered because of 'Wonkyung', and I also left a message on social media that 'You worked hard'. I wanted to finish it properly."
"Wongyeong" is a story about a king and a queen who gained power with her husband, King Taejong, and her husband and wife. Lee Hyun-wook played Taejong Lee Bang-won in the play, and performed enthusiastically with Cha Cha Joo-young, who played Queen Won-kyung. 'Wonkyung' ended in favorable reviews, recording a 6.6% viewer rating in the final episode. (National standard for Nielsen Korea paid households)
