Earlier in May last year, all employees of the Bodum Company operated by Kang Hyung-wook filed a complaint with the police, saying that Kang Hyung-wook and his wife abused their power at work, such as accessing employees' in-house messengers without permission.

At that time, former employee A wrote in the complaint that Kang Hyung-wook and his wife "viewed the in-house messenger data for 6 months."It was reported that "We continued to mention the conversations we had on messenger between employees and used them as a means of pressure and control"

In response, Kang Hyung-wook and his wife denied the allegations by posting an explanatory video on YouTube.
