Kim Sae-ron's Debt Dispute Emerges After Tragic Passing

TV Daily reported on the 17th that the former gold medalist of his agency sent Kim Sae-ron a proof of payment of about 700 million won in penalty.
On May 18, 2022, Kim Sae-ron crashed into a guardrail, a street tree, and a transformer while driving under the influence of alcohol near Hakdong Intersection in Gangnam-gu, Seoul. A nearby transformer broke down in the accident, and 57 nearby stores suffered enormous damage as electricity was cut off.
The gold medalist, who was an agency at the time, paid back damages and penalties incurred by Kim Sae-ron's accident. Kim Saeron reportedly promised to pay back the penalty when he broke up with his agency without renewing his contract due to the expiration of his exclusive contract in December of that year.
However, Kim Sae-ron, who stopped all activities after the accident, had difficulty repaying his debt due to his difficulties in living. He made a living by working part-time jobs such as cafe manager and aspiring actor guidance, but it was not enough to pay off his debt.
While it was not easy to return due to negative public opinion caused by the drunk driving accident, the gold medalist sent Kim Sae-ron a proof of content to pay back the penalty. As much as he lent the company's money, if Kim Sae-ron fails to repay his debt, it could be an act of breach of trust. The penalty is reported to be about 700 million won.

Meanwhile, Kim Sae-ron was found dead at his home in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, at around 4:45 p.m. on the 16th. He was 25. There was no suicide note at the scene, and no criminal charges, such as signs of external invasion, were confirmed.
The funeral home of the deceased has been receiving a series of condolences from celebrities who had previously formed relationships. Kim Bo-ra, Han So-hee, and Akdong musician Soohyun Lee, who are known to be close to Won Bin, who worked with him with 'Mister', visited the mortuary in person.
Kim Ok-bin, Kim Min-chae, Seo Ye-ji, Seo Ha-joon, Lee Jong-hyuk, Shim Eun-kyung, Park Seul-ki, and Mi-gyo posted on SNS and mourned. The gold medallist expressed his brief condolences, saying, `I pray for the repose of the deceased of Samga.'
Kim Saeron's mortuary was set up at Seoul Asan Hospital Funeral Home No. 7 in Songpa-gu, Seoul. The coffin will be borne at 6:20 a.m. on the 19th, and the burial site is Seoul Seunghwawon.
