According to the Seongdong Police Station in Seoul on the 16th, Kim Saeron was found dead at his home in Seongsu-dong, Seongdong-gu, around 4:54 p.m. that day. It is reported that A, an acquaintance who was supposed to meet with Kim Sae-ron, went to the house when he could not contact him, and found it and reported it to the police. Police said "No criminal charges were found, including signs of external intrusion, but we are still investigating the cause of death."
In the midst of this, the last SNS post left by Kim Sae-ron is drawing attention. On the 26th of last month, Kim Sae-ron posted a photo with Moon Bin on his Instagram story to mark the birthday of group Astro member Moon Bin, who died in 2023. The photo was taken at the time of filming the web drama To Be Continued in 2015, and the two had a relationship in the past where they had been working together at the same agency (Fantagio).
Even after Moon Bin passed away last year, Kim Sae-ron set a picture of dandelion flower seeds as his profile picture, the last post Moon Bin left on his official SNS.
Meanwhile, after debuting as an infant model, Kim Sae-ron attracted attention by being invited to the Cannes International Film Festival as the youngest through the 2009 film 'Traveler'. Since then, he has been recognized for his solid acting skills by playing in 'Mister', 'Doheeya', 'Neighbor'.
However, in May 2022, Kim Sae-ron was at the center of controversy, causing a drunk driving accident. The blood alcohol concentration was 0.2% and the license was revoked, and the police caught him running away without dealing with the accident even after hitting a guardrail and a transformer. Since then, he/she has suspended his/her activities by posting a handwritten apology, but it has also become controversial as he/she was spotted delivering his/her updates through SNS.
Recently, there have been reports that they make a living by giving private lessons to aspiring actors, and on the 18th of last month, they posted a photo of themselves and communicated with fans. However, less than a month later, fans were shocked when the sudden news spread.
Currently, the exact cause of Kim Sae-ron's death has not been revealed, and police said they will not disclose details of the death considering the feelings of the bereaved family.
