Actor Lee Ju-sil, ‘Squid Game 2’ Star, Passes Away at 80

According to Joy News 24 on the 2nd, Lee's room was rushed to Catholic University of Korea's Uijeongbu St. Mary's Hospital this morning and received CPR, but he could not open his eyes.
The deceased was diagnosed with end-stage breast cancer in 1993 and resumed his acting activities after 13 years of difficult illness. However, it is reported that he has been fighting the disease again as cancer recurred last year.
Lee Ju-sil, who debuted in 1964, began his career as a second member of the TBC voice acting society in 1965 and was active in various fields as a voice actor and actor. In particular, it has been loved for a long time, ranging from movies, dramas, plays, and entertainment with a good image that reminds of warm motherhood.
His most recent appearance was in the Netflix series `Squid Game Season 2,' where he met the public as the mother of `Junho, played by Yu Ha-joon.
The mortuary of the deceased will be set up at the funeral hall of Sinchon Severance Hospital, and condolences will be available from the 3rd. The stamping will take place on the 5th.
