The NGO Foundation for International Development Cooperation announced on the 7th that Do-young donated 30 million won to support children who are skipping meals in Korea on his birthday on February 1. NCT Do-young's warm sharing is expected to be a great help to low-income children and adolescents in Korea who have difficulty solving meals due to a care gap caused by vacation.
According to the Ministry of Health and Welfare's current status of child meal support (2024), there are about 272,400 children nationwide who cannot properly take care of their meals due to economic difficulties, the absence of guardians, and neglect. This means that four to five out of 100 children suffer from hunger every day. The donation of 30 million won delivered by NCT Do-young will be used in various ways for healthy meals for growing children and adolescents. It provides nutritious lunch boxes and side dishes, and supports food kits that can be easily cooked to help children solve their meals. In addition, it plans to support special food expenses so that children living in nurseries and child care facilities can enjoy the food they want freely.
NCT DOYOUNG selected a donation destination to help children and adolescents who are on the verge of skipping meals during the cold winter vacation to eat healthy in a safe environment. Following last year's birthday, it continues to have a good influence by practicing sharing for vulnerable children and adolescents this year.
The cumulative donation of Do-yeong, who has consistently donated to vulnerable people and underprivileged neighbors around the world, including support for female youth from low-income families and recovery from earthquakes in Turkey and Syria, exceeded 340 million won, including this donation. These good deeds have a positive impact on many members of the public and are becoming a model.
NCT Doyoung said "I wanted to share the love I received with many people. I hope everyone can spend a warmer winter in the cold winter," he said.
