NewJeans vs. ADOR: Legal Battle Over Contract Validity Begins April 3

According to the legal community on the 6th, the Seoul Central District Court's Civil Agreement Department 41 (Chief Judge Chung Hoe-il) has designated the first hearing date of the exclusive contract validation lawsuit filed by Adore against the members of Newzins at 11:30 a.m. on April 3.
In November last year, members of the New Jeans held an emergency press conference and claimed that Adore violated the contract and was no longer affiliated with Adore. Since then, he has created a separate account 'Jeanspo Free' and is continuing his independent activities, saying he has no intention of returning to the door by offering the name of the activity.
In response, Adore filed a lawsuit with the Seoul Central District Court in December last year to confirm the validity of the exclusive contract, saying that the exclusive contract with Newzins is still valid. In addition, in order to prevent the independent advertising contracts and activities of the members of Newzins, it also applied for an injunction to preserve the status of an agency and to prohibit the conclusion of an advertising contract.
At the time, Adore said "We regret that it could be a serious breach of contract for members to attempt their own entertainment activities, such as publicizing new names of activities before they are legally judged."
Then, the members appointed Sejong, a law firm, as their legal representative and warned of legal action against Odor's request for provisional injunction.
Sejong, a law firm, is also the legal representative of Min Hee-jin, a former CEO of New Jeans. Former CEO Min is also continuing his lawsuit with Adore, a subsidiary of Hive. Following the first pleading date for a lawsuit to confirm the termination of the contract between shareholders on the 23rd of last month, the second date will be held on April 17.
