Park Jin-joo Takes on New Challenge in Musical 'Laika'

The musical 'Leica', in which Park Jin-joo joins, tells the story of Leica, Earth's first space exploration dog, meeting a young prince and alien friends who are already adults on asteroid B612 during the Cold War and preparing for a secret project together. It is the work of Han Jung-seok, writer Lee Sun-young, and director Park So-young of the 2023 musical 『Red Book』 in which Park Jin-joo participated, and the audience is looking forward to it even before the performance.
Park Jin-joo plays Leica, a dog who flew into space because she loves humans so much. Leica is the Earth's first space exploration dog with unique patience and clever affinity, and Park Jin-joo has played another non-human character since the helperbot of the 2024 'Maybe Happy Ending', heralding a different transformation.
Park Jin-joo is receiving favorable reviews from the audience as Soon-hee, who has a dream of being the best baker in the musical 'Ghost Bakery', which is currently performing at the Doosan Art Center Yeonggang Hall. It not only captures the passion and ambition of the character with a firm and cool singing ability, but also proves the power to lead the play as a protagonist by building up the emotions of Soon-hee who is imbued with love in detail.
As such, Park Jin-joo continues to perform on stage with stable acting and clear number digestibility, going back and forth from the 2023 musical 'Red Book' to 2024 'Maybe Happy Ending' and 'Ghost Bakery'. Following movies, dramas and entertainment shows, curiosity is added to Park Jin-joo's next performance, which boasts her own presence on the stage.
Meanwhile, 'Leica' will be performed at the Doosan Art Center Yeonggang Hall from March 14.
