As news of broadcaster Park Soo-hong, who is on trial after suing his brother for embezzlement, buying 7 billion apartments and actor Lee Ha-nui paying 6 billion won in additional taxes at once, interest is pouring in their own other level of income.
According to the court's registration on the 20th, Park Soo-hong and Kim Daye bought 170㎡ of the 12th exclusive area of Shin Hyundai Apartment in Apgujeong for 7.05 billion won under the joint name of each half of the shares in November last year.
7.05 billion won was the area's reported price, and the previous highest price was 6.7 billion won, which was sold in August last year.
Park Soo-hong paid the balance on the 10th of this month and tried to complete the transfer of ownership. On the same day, a bank collateral security right of up to 3 billion won in bonds was also set. Considering that the maximum amount of bonds is usually around 120% of the loan, it is estimated that about 2.5 billion won was borrowed, and about 4.5 billion won of the 7.05 billion won transaction was purchased with its own funds.

A media outlet said "Hope Project, a private agency of Lee Ha-nee, whose capital was only KRW 10 million at the time of its establishment, purchased real estate worth KRW 6.5 billion in the name of the corporation two years after its establishment, but the source of funds is unclear, raising questions."," he reported.
The real estate is a two-story building with a total floor area of 173.63㎡ on a 332㎡ (about 100 pyeong) land located in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul. From March 2018 to October 2020, Hope Project's corporate address was located, but now the restaurant is operating. It is estimated that the Hope Project is earning rental income from the real estate, and the current actual transaction price is expected to reach 15 billion won.

The corporation also paid the rent for Lee Ha-nui's residence instead. In response, Hope Project paid part of the rent for the address on the register from 2022 to April 2023. On the advice of experts, Lee Ha-nui paid the corporation in full for the expenses incurred by the corporation in April 2023, and the rent incurred thereafter is also paid in full at the individual expense", but as of the end of 2023, the rent paid by the corporation was reportedly recorded in the financial statements of the Hope Project without any amendment.
In the end, Lee Ha-nui is accused of tax evasion, embezzlement, and breach of trust through a national newspaper. On the same day, the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul said it received a request for an investigation into Lee Ha-nui.
The request for investigation reportedly includes that Lee Ha-nee was imposed 6 billion won in additional fines as a result of the tax investigation, invested 6.5 billion won worth of real estate under the name of the corporate Hope Project, and paid 2.7 billion won in salary from 2021 to 2023 even though there were no full-time workers.

Meanwhile, Park Soo-hong married Kim Daye, 23 years her junior, in 2021, and succeeded in pregnancy through in vitro procedures last year, holding her daughter, Jay, in her arms. Lee Ha-nee's agency, Tim Hopp, also responded to Lee Ha-nee's tax evasion rumors "Lee Ha-nee faithfully responded to the tax audit conducted by the Seoul Regional Tax Office as part of the non-regular integration of corporate artists."Under the advice of the tax agent, we have complied with the law and procedures to fulfill our tax obligations.", he explained. "This tax is an additional tax due to the difference in perspective between the tax authorities and the tax agent," he said. "The full amount has been paid and has nothing to do with intentional omission of tax." Regarding the suspicion of purchasing the building the next day, he explained that "a fund source investigation was conducted at the time of acquisition of real estate, and sufficient explanatory data such as financial transaction details including income certificate and loans were submitted, and all procedures were carried out in accordance with due process."
