Yonsei Medical Center announced in a newsletter in December last year that Bae Yong-joon donated 3 billion won as a development donation to the medical center.
Bae Yong-jun decided to donate in hopes of continuing to develop and grow into a leading institution in medicine in the future despite the difficult medical situation" he said.

Meanwhile, Bae Yong-joon stopped acting after a special appearance in KBS2 drama 'Dream High 2' which aired in 2011. Since then, he married actor Park Soo-jin from the group Sugar in July 2015 and has one son and one daughter. Park Soo-jin has also stopped working in the entertainment industry since the 2016 Olive entertainment program 「Oksu-dong Suja」.
The two, who moved to Hawaii in 2022, were recently listed as donors to the Iolani School, a private Hawaiian school where their children attend. Their donation rating ranges from $10,000 per year (about 14.4 million won) to $10,000 per yearIt is listed as Fellows, which contributes 24,999 dollars (about 36 million won).
