The Black Label announced on the 31st that the music video for Rosé and Bruno Mars' duet song 'APT.' has reached 1 billion views on YouTube. This is 105 days after it was released on October 18 last year, and Rosé broke the K-pop artist record once again, and became the fifth fastest music video worldwide to reach 1 billion views.
'APT.' is a pre-released single from Rosé's first full-length album 'rosie' released on December 6 last year, creating a sensation that sparked an explosive reaction upon release. 'APT.', which became more popular with a duet of two global artists, Rosé and Bruno Mars, dominated the top of the charts at the same time at home and abroad, showing the great integration of the global music market.
The music video of 'APT.', starring Rosé and Bruno Mars together, broke the record for the shortest K-pop solo artist in 11 years, surpassing 100 million views in five days, 300 million views in 22 days, and 500 million views in 47 days. In addition, it was greatly loved as it maintained its position as the number one popular video and popular music in Korea every day and became the number one trend in the United States.
'APT.', which has swept the world for about three months since its release, has recently rebounded from the global music charts, showing unusual momentum. After drawing a reverse trend on the U.S. Billboard 'HOT 100' (Hot Back) chart dominated by Carol Song, it reached second place on the 28th (local time) and achieved a career high, and continued its amazing record by staying in second place for five consecutive weeks on the U.K. official single chart 'TOP 100' (Top Back), which is considered one of the world's two major pop charts along with the Billboard chart.
Rosé's first full-length album 'rosie', which included 'APT.', also resonated upon release. 'rosie' became a hot topic with Rosé's participation in writing and composing all the songs, and broke another record for K-pop female artists by entering No. 3 on the Billboard main album chart 'Billboards 200'.
Meanwhile, Rosé is expected to perform a variety of music activities in 2025.
