According to the bereaved family on the 10th, the deceased died of acute myocardial infarction this afternoon.
Born in Yecheon, North Gyeongsang Province in 1940, the deceased joined the second MBC voice actor's theater company in 1965 after serving as a broadcaster of Korea (now EBS) in 1961.
He later acted as a voice actor in animations 'Mazinga Z' and 'Ultra Expedition', played Professor Kingsfield in foreign currency 'Study Bugs at Harvard University' and played as a commentator on the radio drama program 'Samcheonri'.
He was active as an actor as well as voice acting. He appeared in dramas 'Third Republic', 'Love and Ambition', 'Enchanted', 'Love and War'.
In 1992, the deceased received the 19th Korea Broadcasting Awards for Best Male Actor.
The deceased also devoted himself to teaching at universities and broadcasting academies and spreading the correct speech method.
Books 'Way in front of the microphone', 'Broadcasting Speech', 'Choi Byung-hak's Speech Odyssey' were published.
Choi Yul-mi, director of MBC's ESG review team who was an announcer, and sons Jun-young and In-chang are among the bereaved families.
