TAEIL, who was kicked out of NCT, was indicted without detention on special quasi-rape charges and refused to be summoned for health reasons

Taeil, a former member of the group NCT, has been indicted without detention on charges of sexually assaulting a woman with his acquaintances.

According to the legal community on the 4th, the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office (Director Kim Ji-hye) indicted Tae-il and two accomplices without detention on charges of violating the Special Act on the Punishment of Sexual Violence Crimes on the 28th of last month.

They are accused of sexually assaulting a drunken woman in June last year.

Earlier, there was talk of possession of a weapon at the time of the crime as the charges of special quasi-rape were applied to the suspects, but this was confirmed to be not true.

The special quasi-rape charge is established when two or more people possess a weapon or commit adultery with an opponent who is unable to resist, such as mental and physical loss.

In June last year, the Seoul Bangbae Police Station applied for arrest warrants for three suspects after receiving a victim's report, but the court rejected them on the grounds that they admitted the crime and did not need to be arrested.

After that, the police called Taeil in August to investigate and sent him to the prosecution in September.

The two accomplices were investigated by the prosecution, while they reportedly denied the planned crime, but Taeil reportedly did not respond to the summons, citing health problems. Taeil reportedly submitted a medical certificate and a lawyer's opinion.

Meanwhile, Taeil was expelled from NCT in August last year after he was accused of sex crimes, and in October, he terminated his exclusive contract with his agency SM Entertainment.
