Conflict Arises Over EXO Xiumin’s Absence from KBS2 'Music Bank'

Xiumin's agency Won Hundred said on the 4th that `As Xiumin has released a solo album for the first time in a long time, we tried to hold several meetings with broadcasters to show good performances to fans through music broadcasts, but KBS did not even respond to our contact. Against this backdrop, KBS recently unofficially stated that it is impossible for Xiumin to appear simultaneously in programs featuring SM Entertainment (hereinafter referred to as SM) singers such as Music Bank".
He then kept in touch to convey the message, "'Please consider the artist and the fans first, although it was a difficult position to understand,' but even this was ignored. KBS, a public broadcaster, made this decision reflecting only the position of a particular company, which is a deeply unfair act. "We will continue to make efforts to be fair to KBS, which has made it difficult for Xiumin and other artists to appear in "Music Bank" and we will do our best to ensure that many artists will not be harmed by such unfair practices in the future." protested.
In response, KBS countered, saying, `It is groundless and we are constantly communicating with the agency.'
But the fans were furious. Xiumin had a relationship with KBS audition program 'Make Mate One' as an MC and appeared as a daily part-timer in KBS2 entertainment program 'Chaeng' which aired on the 24th of last month. Nevertheless, there were opinions that it was not acceptable to ban the appearance of 'Music Bank'. Moreover, EXO Baekhyun, SHINee Taemin, and Bad Villain, who belong to the same One Hundred label, have appeared normally on 'Music Bank' regardless of SM artists, raising criticism.
