In the United States, an 8-year-old boy has saved his 6-year-old sister from an attack by a fierce dog.

According to local media such as WNEM and the New York Post, Lily (6), who was playing in the yard of her grandmother in suburban Michigan on the 30th (local time), was attacked by a pit bull next door.

The dog bit Lily in the face and neck, and her brother Nicholas, 8, who came running after hearing a scream, kicked the dog and climbed up and confronted her.

Soon after, the grandfather of the brother and sister who ran out removed the dog and chased it away.

But there was blood all over her sister's face and neck.

The urgently transferred sister underwent emergency surgery and is currently recovering for reoperation, and her brother is reportedly not seriously injured.

The mother of the siblings quoted medics as saying, `The child has extensive nerve damage around the eyes and face and multiple stitches.' `There are also several bite marks on the neck, some of which were just an inch away from amputating the neck artery," he said.

Family and acquaintances said the sister could have been fatal without Nicholas's heroic actions and quick handling.

His brother Nicholas, who continues to be praised by his neighbors and relatives, described the situation at the time, saying, `I didn't want my brother to die" he said.

My sister Lily said, "I was very scared and sick, but thank you for your help"I would have died by now if my brother hadn't helped me," he said.

The mother of the brother and sister said "I'm proud of all the children" and "My daughter needs to be treated for a long time in the future, but she will endure well" Meanwhile, Pitbull, who attacked Lily, is said to have euthanized her.
