Chairman of the Board of Directors Yoon Dae-won 'Mighty Doctor'Held a book report contest of 50 million won in total prize money to commemorate the publication of the book

Ilsong Academy, a school corporation, will hold a book report contest to commemorate the publication of the late chairman Doheon Yoon Dae-won's autobiography 'Mighty Doctor'.

Through the life of Yoon Dae-won, a doctor, manager, and educator, this contest was designed to spread the courage and challenge consciousness to overcome hardships and adversity to those living in the present age. Chairman Yoon has lived as a manager who contributes to the development of domestic medical care and practices humanity by pioneering a new path.

In accordance with the wishes of the late chairman Doheon Yoon Dae-won, all of his autobiography royalties will be donated to the Hallym Burn Foundation, a social welfare corporation.

The contest, which runs from August 1 to September 30, is open to any Korean citizen aged seven or older who has read his autobiography 'Mighty Doctor'. You can read the book, write a book report on a free topic, and submit it through Google Form. Google Form can be accessed from the QR code on the poster of the contest or from the notice on the website of Hallym University Medical Center.

The contest will be divided into three categories: ▲ elementary school students, ▲ middle and high school students, ▲ college students, and general people, and submissions will be limited to one point per person.

The total prize money is 50 million won, and 71 winners from the grand prize to the incentive prize will be awarded through screening. The winning works are selected by evaluating ▲ understanding the content ▲ individuality and novelty ▲ logical validity ▲ completeness ▲ topicability ▲ SNS upload additional points.

The results will be announced in November. The presentation schedule is subject to change for an accurate review.

The late chairman Yoon Dae-won began his career as a doctor at Hallym University's Hangang Sacred Heart Hospital in 1974. Since then, he succeeded in kidney transplantation for the first time at Hallym University Medical Center in 1985, and succeeded in pancreatic transplantation for the first time in Korea in 1987, contributing to the development of Korean medicine.

He was inaugurated as the second chairman of Ilsong Academy, a school corporation, and led six welfare centers for 35 years, including Hallym University Medical Center, Hallym University, Hallym University of Sacred Heart, and Hallym International Graduate School. Hallym University Sacred Heart Hospital was opened in 1999 and Hallym University Dongtan Sacred Heart Hospital was opened in 2013, and Hallym University Medical Center under Ilsong Academy was developed into a large-scale institution with five university hospitals (Hallym University Sacred Heart Hospital, Hallym University Chuncheon Sacred Heart Hospital, Hallym University Gangnam Sacred Heart Hospital, and Hallym University Dongtan Sacred Heart Hospital).

In addition, as an educator, he formed close medical academic partnerships with leading foreign universities such as the United States, Sweden, and Japan, held international academic symposiums, and contributed to the development of the domestic medical field. When operating the Sillim General Welfare Center, the SOS emergency disaster support system was implemented by investing 20 million won for the vulnerable, which became the cornerstone of the government's implementation of the emergency living support system in 2006. In addition, despite a deficit of 10 billion won, Hallym University Han Kang Sungsim Hospital continued to provide burn treatment for the public interest.

Chairman Yoon will be awarded the National Medal of Mugunghwa from the South Korean government in recognition of his lifelong dedication to Korea's medical and university education development and community service at home and abroad. The Mugunghwa Medal of the National Order of Merit is the highest grade among the five grades of the Order of Merit. Earlier in 1996, his late father, Dr. Yoon Deok-sun, received the same medal. If the medal is awarded, he will be honored with the second-generation Mugunghwa Medal.
